Round the Table Hospitality (RTTH) stems directly from CEO Jim Horan’s evolved vision of growth for Blue Plate Catering, a company that he started in 1983. With a single employee and a van, Jim cultivated a reputation for delicious fare, exceptional service and hospitality. The recipe for Blue Plate’s success has been growing the company from the inside out; gathering diverse ideas and perspectives around the table; promoting a collaborative corporate culture; delivering outstanding, customizable service; and building strong relationships in the community. RTTH brings our more than 33 years of hospitality experience together, under one family, with a common set of values, culture, and vision, all gathered together around a table, focused on delivering exceptional hospitality.
With multiple endeavors beyond catering and restaurants, the RTTH roster includes Blue Plate Catering, restaurants tesori trattoria & bar and Park Grill, state-of-the-art facility Larkin Hall, intrapreneurial incubator program Wild Blue, and launching future brands in its Fulton Market storefront. Today, RTTH employs as many as 1,000 employees during peak season at its restaurants in downtown Chicago and its catering company in the West Loop.
